Beta Reading and Developmental Editing Hiatus

Hello, Writers!

The last few months have been super busy. And with many events ahead for me this summer, I’ve decided to take a hiatus from beta reading and developmental editing, instead of attempting to schedule around everything else.

I’ll still happily schedule any formatting or sample edit requests that come in, though, as those are easier to fit into a small time slot.

But for the beta reading and developmental editing, I won’t start any work again until September 16, 2019. You’re welcome to submit your job requests via the forms for that date forward before then. I’ll still reply to any filled out forms or questions via email, and I’m quite happy to schedule well ahead of time. I just won’t start any work until the stated date.

Hopefully this will also give me some time to tweak a few things on the website concerning my services and update my forms, as well. I still hope to offer Beta Reading Plus as an option in the future. And I may even start offering paperback formatting with Vellum!

Testimonials & Fall Scheduling

We’re halfway through August and Fall will soon be upon us (at least in the hemisphere I’m from)!

If you’re looking for a Beta Read or a Developmental Edit before the end of the year, don’t leave scheduling or a Sample Edit Request until the last minute. I’ll happily book far in advance even if you think you won’t need feedback until 2018! I’ll announce here on the main page or on the Haunted Unicorn Facebook Page if any months book up and aren’t available.

I’ve also started a Testimonials page — if I’ve ever given you any feedback and you’d like to offer a comment for the page, please use the Contact Me form.

Developmental Editing and Beta Reading Now Available!

Hello, lovely writers and readers. I’m happy to announce that today I’m officially scheduling developmental edits and beta reads!

The first available slots are early September (yup, booking far in advance). I’m willing to book pretty far in advance, as well, if you think you’ll need my services some time down the road. Slots are limited, so fill out the forms early. First filled out, first scheduled.

Though I won’t schedule developmental edits and beta reads until September, I am offering sample edits if you’d like to see if we’re a good fit. The first 3000 words of a book (one sample edit per person). Those I will schedule in starting as early as next week! If you’re interested in a sample edit, please fill out the Sample Edit Request Form.
